PlayTab is designed with your privacy at its core. We collect the absolute minimum information necessary for the Extension to function:
- License Information (Pro Users): When you purchase and activate PlayTab Pro, we collect and store your license key. This key is sent to our third-party payment processor, Gumroad, to verify its validity. We do not receive or store any personal payment information like your name or credit card details.
- Locally Stored Settings: User preferences, such as the list of "Safe Domains" for Meeting Mode, are stored locally on your computer using the `chrome.storage` API. This data is not transmitted to us or any third party.
- Anonymous Usage Data: The Extension does not collect any analytics, telemetry, or anonymous usage data. We do not track your browsing history, the sites you visit, or how you interact with the extension.
How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used solely for the following purposes:
- To verify and activate your Pro license.
- To save your settings and preferences within your own browser.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your information to others. Your license key is shared only with Gumroad for the single purpose of verification. We do not share any other data because we do not collect it.
Data Security
Your license key and settings are stored using Chrome's built-in, secure storage mechanisms. Since the vast majority of your data never leaves your computer, it remains under your control.
Children's Privacy
The Extension is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
